Organization History:

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! Sound of the Bay Chorus is a female Acapella style performing show chorus of Sweet Adelines International. We are a non profit organization, dedicated to education through performance and competition in the art of singing four part harmony in the Barbershop style.

We are a member of the Heart of Dixie, Region 23, which includes Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee and the Florida panhandle. Our awards and accomplishments include the 1st Place Small Chorus Award in the 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998 Regional Competitions. We represented Region 23 at the 1996 International Performer's Seminar in St. Louis, MO. In the 2001 Regional Competition in Chattanooga Tn, we recieved 3 awards "Most Improved Chorus" with a 53 point increase, 2nd Place "Small Chorus" award and 4th Place "Overall" Medal, with a score of 547 points ! Regional Competition in 2002 brought a 3rd Place "Small Chorus" award. We currently have 29 members who love to sing and entertain for fun and relaxation. We see ourselves as a group which is goal oriented, yet flexible. We like to participate in community activities as well as organizational competitions. We are available to perform at your organizational or social event. We are as average as your next door neighbor. We are homemakers, healthcare professionals, teachers, and office staff professionals. We are highly committed to providing quality entertainment. Won't you join us and become part of our fun?
